- Bed area. Clean and resembles the photos I've seen on their website. They really do look that good! No tape over a portion of the heater/AC unit. No missing/broken parts. Even the lamps appeared new or well maintained.

- Front desk/check in. Friendly greeting, simple and quick check in. I did not feel rushed or treated as if they were doing me a favor by having a room available. The lobby was clean and comfortable.

- Exterior. Well lit, clean, nice sized lot for parking.

- Bathroom. Clean and everything worked. Nothing was in need of repair. Tub/Shower wiped down with no leftover hairs on the towels or knobs.

I needed a place that could support my whole food, plant-based food preparation. It's difficult to find a real kitchen that can support your needs while traveling. It worked out perfect since I was able to make a short trip to Trader Joe's and soon prepared the meal I needed. The utensils were clean and maintained. I appreciated how the front desk provided the kitchen items you needed without overloading you with items you don't need or use. I explained I was cooking only for me and the few items I needed. They provided only those items and they were presented wrapped in plastic (they had been cleaned/sterilized) so there was question about some debris on the items. They have packets of dish detergent so you can clean your dishes which I asked for. Before leaving, I cleaned and dried all plates, silverware, pans, cutting board and counter top that I used- just like I'd do at home. I highly suggest everyone do the same even though they will clean it.

Some people have the mindset that you should not expect a hotel room to be clean like your home. Well, I'm sure everyone has a different standard or definition of what clean is. For some, that expectation/standard is low.

When checking out, they had all of my information already so they just asked how my stay was and if there was anything else I needed. After dropping off my key and thanking them for the stay, I left with a smile knowing this is what "home away from home" should feel like. Looking forward to reviewing the next Extended Stay America!

- Room. I've been to hotels that have a mini version of a kitchenette. The first places I look at are the kitchen and bathroom. This has a kitchen, NOT kitchenette. That means there is a full size refrigerator, range/stove and sink with just enough counter space. Many places have broken sink knobs with crud (old food) around the base of it- a sign that they barely pay attention to the cleanliness because most assume guests don't care about that level of cleanliness. But some of us DO. The area around the knobs, the entire sink, and counter top were clean as I'd expect my kitchen to be. And I like it clean. Why not? All cabinets were very clean which shows housekeeping took the time to make sure there were no hairs and debris remaining on the surfaces which I've seen in many places. I even took the chance to look at the storage under the counter and still, it was clean. There was no leftover garbage, toys, or food. Again, this shows that someone physically looks at all the areas. And even though the garbage can was lined with a bag, the garbage can was clearly cleaned before placing a bag in it. What a relief. Housekeeping stopped by to check on the quality/cleanliness and removed a shelf in the refrigerator because it was not clean enough for her standard. I hadn't had a chance to look at it yet, but she cleaned it and returned with a shelf that appeared new. She apologized for any inconvenience and explained it was her job to ensure it's as clean as her own home. She must have a home I'd feel comfortable visiting!

Nice clean hotel. Friendly staff. Very quiet. Would definitely stay there again

This place feels right at home. It has different cozy feeling that regular hotels don't have. Highly recommended.

We moved here after a very bad experience at a hotel a couple towns over. It has been like night and day! This place is so clean and nice. The staff is incredible. The woman at the desk (Destiny) was so friendly and helpful. She even carried something to my room to help me. One of the housekeepers helped me too when she saw me struggling with grocery bags and my toddler. The room is clean and spacious for my family of 3. I honestly feel like this is almost as good as home. I can't say enough good things! No complaints at all.

I stayed at the Hartford-Farmington location and it was a delight. All hallways, lobby, fitness, and laundry rooms were very clean. Let's have a simple chat about it:

Absolutely the best hotel experience I've ever had. Destiny at the front counter is amazing. These people definitely have their head in the game in terms of hospitality. Clean, quiet rooms, excellent amenities and a very safe location. Love this place.
