A very good burger joint! Five Guys is strictly a fast bite place for fairly unique burgers and fires. Very popular with locals, especially from nearby Tunxis Community College. I wouldn't eat here often, but enjoy it when I do.
I'm sadden they can't get this simple request right. For the price, I will detour to go to Plan B, literally!
, all Five Guys restaurants aren't the same if you want the true flavor of Five Guys you have to go to Farmington. Glastonbury sucks, Old Saybrook sucks, New Haven sucks, the only good one is in Farmington they cook the way they're supposed to be cooked. Remember a cheeseburger small fry and a large drink is $14.55?
Today, my pregnant wife and I had a craving for a burger but wanted something quick. We figured to give this place another try. So this time I requested "well done" on all our burgers and I heard the same story. We have two little kids under the age of three and one on the way. I explained politely my prior experience and the cashier promised me she would let them know behind her. Meanwhile she turned and spoke to one of the cooks. Immediately, the one cook looked at me with a disturbed look and it seemed as if I bothered him.
Came here about 4 months ago and ordered a burger and requested "well done". I was told by the cashier that all burgers are cooked well and that I'll be happy with it. Upon arriving home to eat with my family, I learned that our burgers were not well and I promised I would not return.
Buns seemed greasy, fries weren't as generous as usual, soda machine had not a single type of diet soda working until our meal was finished. Normally good, maybe it was this location in particular, others are better.
Awesome burgers. Yes a little expensive but you get what you pay for! If you want a less expensive burger go to McDonalds-not being mean about them I eat there also. Great staff & clean also.
Upon arriving home we noticed that the burger was not cooked well. Please see picture attached. What a waste. Normally I don't mind it but with a pregnant wife, she has to eat well cooked meat. I support it and to make it easy for the cooks, this is what we requested on all.
